Evelyn Beard

Evelyn Williams Beard of Petersburg, Tennessee passed from this life on

Wednesday, April 30, 2025, at her residence at the age of 79 years.

A native of Lewisburg, Tennessee, she is the daughter of the late

Houston and Mabel Jett Williams. Along with her parents, she is

preceded in death by her husband, William Rufus Beard,

granddaughter, Cindy Wright, siblings, Buddy Williams, Peggy Williams,

Doug Williams and Betty Adair.

Graveside services will be held on Sunday, May 4, 2025, at New Hope

Talley Cemetery in Petersburg, Tennessee with James Wilburn Carter

officiating. Honorary pallbearers will be , M.J. Edminston, Zailen

Edminston and William Knois. The Pallbearers will include Jimmy Boyce,

Jeff Boyce, Jeannie Burt, Al Burt, Isaiah Whitaker and Leon Wells.

Evelyn was a born caregiver and always trying to take care of others.

She was kind and compassionate and was always trying to fix things for

her family and friends. She was the rock of the family and loved

spending time with each of them. Evelyn loved her dog, Willow Dean.

She enjoyed crocheting and flowers. At one time she owned a florist in

Petersburg. She enjoyed working with the flowers and making beautiful

things for her family, friends and customers.

Her survivors include her children, Troy Beard, Tract (Tim) Mitchell, Kim

(David) Wright, brother, Jerry (Vicky) Williams, sisters, Linda (Joe)

Boyce, Lucille Landrum, grandchildren, Crystal Crabtree, Beth (Quin)

Ford, Megan Knois, Leila Knois, Jessica Wright, 12 great grandchildren

and 1 great- great grandchildren.
