ESTILL SPRINGS, TN - The Estill Springs Police Department has added two new members to its ranks, strengthening its commitment to public safety and community service. Reserve Officer Glynn Haston and Officer Dakota Henley were officially sworn in during a brief ceremony held Monday evening, with Mayor David Kelley administering the oaths of office.

Reserve Officer Glynn Haston joins the department with extensive law enforcement experience and a long-standing connection to the Estill Springs community. Department leadership described Haston as someone who brings not only valuable professional skills, but also a genuine dedication to supporting local residents. His background is expected to be a strong asset as the department continues its efforts to expand training, preparedness, and community engagement.
Officer Dakota Henley also joins the force after previously working for Franklin County Communications. Henley will begin the next step in his law enforcement career in January, when he attends the Cleveland State College Law Enforcement Academy. Officials say his familiarity with emergency communications, combined with upcoming formal training, will serve him well as he transitions into a sworn officer role.
The Estill Springs Police Department said both officers reflect the professionalism and community-minded spirit the agency strives to uphold. Department leaders shared their appreciation for the support shown by the town’s elected officials and residents as local law enforcement continues to grow and evolve.
Mayor Kelley congratulated both officers during the ceremony and expressed confidence in their ability to serve the Estill Springs community with integrity.
Welcoming Haston and Henley marks another step forward as the department works to enhance public safety, expand services, and prepare for future needs.
