Deonte Ellis Scott

Deonte Ellis Scott, born January 17, 1992, in Clarksville, TN, to Leroy Scott, Jr. and Donna Montague Greer, was called home on November 6, 2025, at Huntsville Hospital.

Deonte was one of a kind, who deeply loved his mom and never missed an opportunity to call and tell her he loved her. He brightened any room he walked into with his vibrant smile and laid-back manner.

He loved old school cars and sports. He was a stand-out football player from pee-wee ball all the way to high school. He had a kind heart and would give you the shirt off his back and often did. Deonte accepted Jesus Christ at an early age at First Missionary Baptist Church in Winchester.

He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Leroy Scott, St.; aunt, Velma Montague; uncle, Gary Scott; and cousin, Darnell “D.J.” Patton. He leaves to cherish his memory his loving mother, Donna Greer of Jackson, TN; father, Leroy Scott, Jr. of Winchester, TN; sisters Deneria “Dee” Montague of Tullahoma, TN, Olivia Scott of Winchester, TN, Libby Scott of Winchester, TN, Sade Scott of Nashville, TN and Zoe Blake of Winchester; brothers, Thaddeus (Jessica) Sanders of Clarksville and Emmanuel "Manny" Scott of Winchester; as well of a host of aunts, unless, cousins, and nephews.

A memorial service will be held at First Missionary Baptist Church at a later date.
