April 14, 1985 - September 19, 2025
Mr. Christopher O'Neal Trice, known as "Chris" to many, passed away unexpectedly on Friday, September 19, 2025, at the age of 40.
Chris was born on April 14, 1985, at Walter Reed Hospital in Washington, D.C., to Lonzie and Deborah Trice. As a proud military family, the Trices eventually settled in Tullahoma, Tennessee, where Chris was raised alongside his siblings.
He attended Tullahoma High School and later earned his GED in 2005, a moment of great pride for him and his family. Chris had a deep love for the outdoors—he enjoyed fishing, making campfires, walking, and stargazing. He was passionate about fitness and made a point to stay active every day with walks, push-ups, and other exercises. He also loved playing spades and never turned down a good game.
Chris had a big personality—funny, loud, outgoing, and the undeniable life of the party. He never met a stranger and always made those around him feel welcomed and loved. His sense of humor, warmth, and presence will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
Family was everything to Chris. He loved his children and grandchildren fiercely, and his son, Lonzie, lovingly describes him as “the main source of everything.” His brother, David, remembers him as someone who “wouldn’t hurt a butterfly, but would do damage over family”—a true protector with a gentle heart.
Chris is survived by his three loving children, Shayla Curtis, Lonzie Trice, and Jahleel Trice; his cherished grandchildren, Jamarius Curtis, Kingston Curtis, and Daylon Phillips; his devoted parents, Lonzie and Deborah Trice; his beloved sister and brothers, Dr. Chanel (Matthew) Trice-Madonna, David Holloway, Marcus (Stephanie) Trice and Terrence (Shakaquita) Trice; and a host of many extended family members and friends who will forever hold his memory close.
Visitation, Thursday, September 25, 2025 from 1:00 p.m. - 2:45 p.m. at J.A. Welton & Son Funeral Home. Graveside Services will follow at 3:00 p.m. at Evergreen Cemetery in Tullahoma.
Rest in peace, Chris. Your light lives on in all who love you.
Please keep the family of Mr. Christopher Trice in your thoughts and prayers.
