Charles Edward Bolden Sr, age 85 of Estill Springs, passed away on Tuesday, October 14, 2025, at his residence surrounded by his loving family. A native of Franklin County was born in Winchester on October 21, 1939, to the late Ernest Bolden and Mary Elizabeth (Woosley) Gore. Charles was a proud veteran of the United States Army. Before his retirement, he had been employed as a fab technician at Square D for over twenty-five years, where he had perfect attendance. An avid outdoorsman, he enjoyed being on the lake, fishing (winning a 1976 Bi-Centennial Fishing Tournament), and gardening. His family will remember his strong-will and contagious sense of humor. He was of the Baptist faith. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Estelle Syler. He is survived by his loving wife of sixty-one years, Fannie Morris Bolden; children, Sheila Rebello, Penny (David) Denton, Eddie Bolden, and Tammy Bolden; grandchildren, Richard Arnold, Teresa Gaskill, Sherry Kimbrough, Misty Graham, Jason Graham, Cody Bolden, Virginia Bolden, Hunter Bolden, Cole Bolden, Alex Powell, and Ashley Powell; several great-grandchildren; brother, Grady Gore Jr; and many nieces and nephews. Visitation will be from 5-8pm on Friday, October 17, 2025, at Watson Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 pm on Saturday, October 18, 2025, in the Roy B. Watson Chapel of Watson Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Keith Springs Cemetery.
