Bobby was a kind and funny soul with a truly gentle heart. He had a way of making others feel at ease, and his warmth and compassion left a lasting impression on everyone who knew him. He was a devoted son, father, brother, grandfather, and a beloved uncle who deeply cherished his family.
In his free time, Bobby enjoyed the simple things that brought him joy. He loved watching movies, had a strong interest in firearms, cars, and he was fascinated with stories of Bigfoot. These hobbies reflected his curiosity, sense of humor, and appreciation for life's everyday moments.
Bobby was always taking care of others, both at home and on the job. He spent many years working as a maintenance supervisor. He retired from the University of West Georgia where he spent twelve years. It was a role that he took great pride in.
Whether fixing something that was broken, or lending a helping hand, he was dependable, hard working, and always willing to step in for others.
He is preceded in death by his wife, Lynn Adams, father Joe M. Adams, grandparents John and Eunice Kelley, John Quincey, and Flossie Bell Adams.
Mr. Adams is survived by his loving mother, Lorene Kelley Adams; daughters Sarah Lynn Adams-Davis (Joshua), and Brittney Leann Barron (Christopher); step son Truan DeWit Walker; sister Sherry Kay Adams; nieces Jennifer Leigh Wells and Rebekah Louise Wells; grandchildren Truan DeWit Walker Jr. and Jonathan Davis.
Family and friends are warmly welcomed to attend the visitation from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, December 23, 2025 at Carmichael Funeral Home in Smyrna, GA and are invited to remain following visitation as we gather to celebrate Bobby's life during funeral service at 1:00 p.m. in the chapel.
Bobby gave his life to the Lord on July 5, 1985, a decision that shaped his life and the way he loved and served others.
"The Lord is my shepherd, I shall not want.
He maketh me lie down in green pastures; He leadeth me beside the still waters.
He restoreth my soul."
-Psalm 23:1-3
